Sunny Squad is designed for dancers who are ready for more — more training, more performance opportunities, more teamwork, and more confidence — while still keeping the experience positive, age-appropriate, and fun.
What is
Sunny Squad?
Sunny Squad is Sunnyvale Dance Academy’s performance and competition team for dancers who want to take their training to the next level. Dancers build confidence, teamwork, performance skills, and technique through weekly classes, rehearsals, competitions, recital performances, and special team experiences throughout the season.

Mini Sunny Squad / K–2nd
For our younger dancers ready for more training and their first team experience. These dancers learn and compete one routine at two local competitions.
Junior Sunny Squad / 3rd Grade & Up
For dancers ready for additional training, responsibility, and performance opportunities. These dancers learn and compete two routines at two local competitions.
Teen Sunny Squad / 7th Grade & Up
For dancers ready for additional training, responsibility, and performance opportunities. These dancers learn and compete two routines at two local competitions.
